Well here it is October. Where has the summer gone so quickly Oct 1 was a rain and fog kind of day but the temp was perfect low 80ties

There were a few targets today and I found this 1/18 replica of a 1967 Mustang GT in knee deep water down about a foot I thought I would never get it up then when it did come out it would not hardly fit in my scoop

I did manage to find one nice silver band today.

October 2 was not bad but I did not find any gold or silver.I did manage to find another $1 coin along with a nice sand dollar floating along in the surf.

October 3 I decided to go to Sandbridge weather was very nice while I was at the beach and then the rains came as I was headed home. There were lots of targets but a lot of pieces of broken shell casings also. Found a little over $4 dollars in change.

October 4 I decided to stay home and rest.

Sept 1 thru Sept 30

Sept started out with a bang with 2 pcs of gold first day

Sept 3 found a nice front grill 14k

Sept 4 had a couple pcs of silver

Sept 5 ended up with only a stainless steel cross

Sept 7 ended up with a bottle opener ring and silver ear ring

Sept 9 had a nice silver ring and a stainless steel band

Sept 13 found my first sharks toot and a nice silver ring

Sept 16 found another nice 14k white gold band and a $5 bill

Sept 21 found another 1 dollar coin

Sept 26 5 of us took off and went up to Ocean City Md. We had a great day. Between the 5 of us we dug over 150 quarters. I dug 23 myself along with 3 rings 2 silver and one gold. and almost $9 bucks in change.

I got out for a few hours on August 15 weather was perfect and found a few targets with a couple silver rings.

August 13

Well here it is Tuesday August 14. I got to go detecting last night after going to the chiropractor yesterday afternoon. Got to the beach around 745 and detected until 1 am Weather was perfect. Did not find any gold or silver but had a good time. Got a couple of photos right before dark.

Ran into couple other treasure hunters last night but did not see any gold I did find 3 nice pair of sunglasses Here is my treasure for my night hunt August 13

August 12

Got up at 5:30 this morning and out of the house at 6am. Got down to the ocean front around 6:45am and hunted until 11:00am. Did not find a lot this morning but ran into several other treasure hunters holding some nice treasure. Weather looked like the bottom might fall out at any minute but it never happened.

There were at least 7 treasure hunters on the beach this morning in the water and wet sand. After I finished up I made it up to the 33rd street cafe and had some breakfast and a cup of hot coffee. Here is all I ended up with this morning

August 10 and 11

Got up yesterday morning and could not hardly walk.Back was killing me. I had a doctor appointment on Friday at 9am anyway so Doctor gave me some pain pills and I have been laid up yesterday and today. Today pain is a little better but there will not be any treasure hunting today hope every body has a great weekend. Hope to be back out tomorrow treasure hunting again.

August 9

Did not get out to the beach yesterday had other things that I had to get done so Wed was a day off for me. Thursday Aug 9 I get up at 3:30am and head back to the beach for the 7:13 AM low tide. Got down to the beach at 4:30 and hunted until 8:30am and then went up and had cafe muffin with my friend Spider. Day break was around 6 and I had been finding some targets but no gold yet. I had worked my way down the beach a spell. Watch a beautiful sun rise and some surfers enjoying the morning.

On the way back I get a nice low tone on my Excalibur and out pops this 21k Gold band. First time I have found a gold ring with a 21k stamp on the inside.

Kept on digging targets but that was the only gold for me today.

I have a doctor appointment 9 am in the morning so I will not make the morning low tide and they are calling for rain tomorrow evening so we will have to wait and see what the day brings.

Tuesday August 7

Got up at 3am and headed to the beach for the 545am low tide. I was on the beach detecting at 4;10an After about an hour I see 3 other guys metal detecting up ahead of me. Turned out to be Max,Ken,and Gary no body was holding any gold yet so off I went on down the beach in search of lost treasure. Made it a couple blocks past the pier and decided to turn around and head back towards the car. Met back up with the others again on my return trip and still nobody was holding any gold, Well after a few more blocks I was messing around in the surf and get a nice low tone on my Excalibur and out pops a nice little 18K gold band.

Finished up and got up to the cafe just before the bottom dropped out and here come the rain again. Here is the rest of my nut for today

Monday August 6

Called for more rain today but again I did not think it would happen so about 2 o clock I head down to the beach and just as I get there the bottom drops out and it rained thunder and lighting for the next 3 hours. I went down to the 33rd street cafe and met up with spider and had coffee and we watched it rain. Max had called and said our new sand scoop EVROEXCAVATOR-2 v.22had come it so I went by his house and picked up my new scoop.

Did not get any treasure hunting done today

August 5th

Well they called for rain all day and it was pretty nice with a few clouds here and there. So I decided around 2 o clock to head to the beach. There were lots of people on the beach and it was real pleasant with a nice breeze.

Messed around for a couple hours and got a couple junk rings and some change and then I found a nice cut with a nice trough so I got in it and out pops a nice little 14k gold bracelet

Keep on going on down the beach to were I was parked and was almost there when I get another nice tone in the surf and out pops another 14k gold diamond ring.

August 4

Going out to dinner with some friends so I did not go to the beach on Saturday instead I stayed home and got the lawn mowed and a few things around the house. Then we went over to our friends from Smithfield and had a nice evening. Sunday they are calling for rain and thunder and lightning so I don't think I will get out again.

August 3

Went down to the beach early and had breakfast with Spider and just chit chatted for a while Sun was shining bright and slight breeze. Went out for 3 hours from 11 till 2 found a cheap necklace and a 1 Kuna coin which is the currency of Croatia

August 2

August 2 was a beautiful day and I ran into a couple ladies from my home town in WVa. Patty Shepard and Sharon Core

Walked down the beach another block and there is another lady from back home Mellisa

Was not finding a lot of targets and none were very good. Just as I was getting ready to depart the beach I got a nice low sound on my detector and I dug down and found the biggest necklace I have ever dug up. It was marked 14k but it did not look like it and so I acid tested it when I got home and turned out to be fake

August 1

Weather man calling for storms mid day so I head out to the beach early like 5 hours before low tide. Found a few coins toy car and sun glasses before the storm hit. I did manage to get in 3 hours of hunting.

July 31

Another beautiful day at the beach. Lot of people on the beach today and few targets but I did manage to find a silver necklace and a tungsten carbide ring

July 30

Took Sunday off and got some things done around the house. Washed my truck,mowed the lawn, and took my lovely wife out to dinner at the Vintage Tavern. Monday morning tide was not low until 11:45 so I left the house around 8 and headed for the beach. It was overcast and low 80ties Beach was crowded and lot of people were in the water.

Did not find any gold today but I did manage to find a Stainless Steel ring and a Big old silver ring and silver ear ring
